Service Definition

A careful analysis of the findings from a needs assessment is necessary in order to derive a set of pointers for a revamped or adjusted lineup of service offerings. It is recommended that all staff be involved in the analysis in order to ensure their acceptance and support of the changes to follow. The outcome of the analysis is the library's strategic, business, and operations plan.

Key Questions:

• Does the information center have a strategic plan?
• Are the key objectives of the information center clearly linked to the key objectives of the organization?
• Are the target clients clearly identified?
