Introducing the Generic Competition Module

Thomson Pharma is designed to support the entire drug discovery and development pipeline. Now, with the integration of a dedicated Generic Competition Module, we can extend our coverage to the generic market, supporting and enhancing the needs of innovator, generic and speciality pharmaceutical companies.

The Generic Competition Module integrates in-depth industry knowledge (10,000 launched products, 12,000 companies) with sales, patent, exclusivity, regulatory and formulations data.

This module provides critical early intelligence to help you:

Thomson Pharma Training Demos

We are recording training demos of Thomson Pharma, to help you work faster, smarter and achieve outstanding results. These training demos show how easy it is to get up and running, how to carry out your everyday tasks, how to personalize your work area to suit your needs, and how to conduct quick and focused searches.

You can choose the demo relevant to your specific area of interest and view either the full training session (approximately 20 to 30 minutes) or an individual chapter.

Latest Enhancements

• Chemical Patents Index (CPI) subscribers now have access to full Derwent World Patents Index® (DWPI) abstracts from 1963 onwards with Thomson Pharma
  
  
• We have added new sorting options — depending on your search, you can now sort results by parameters such as highest development status, organism or molecule type
  
  
• Find related records functionality enables you to explore an area of research by identifying similar articles to the ones you’re viewing

The following enhancements have been made to the search capabilities of Thomson Pharma:

• You can now search the Derwent Drug File index using a controlled thesaurus, enabling you to retrieve Literature & News records quickly and precisely

• You can now search patent information by WPI accession number

The following enhancements have been made to the export capabilities of Thomson Pharma:

• Export of results to Microsoft® Word was introduced for Drug results in the previous update to Thomson Pharma. This included options to export any of the standard result types as well as a customize option. This functionality has now been extended to the results pages for all other report types

• We have added export capability from the Brand Management Module. You can now export a number of key analysis with graphical displays to Microsoft® Word

Hints & Tips

• Did you know, you can view your last 30 searches and save them in ‘My Latest Searches’

• Did you know, you can now perform a quick search using action, therapy area and technology terms across drug and Intellectual Property data.

• Did you know you can now export chemical structure as SD files
