What's New
We've recently added the following new content and functionality to Thomson Pharma:
Drugs
- Quickly get an understanding of an extensively launched drug's market position by viewing the new SWOT Analysis section in many of the drug reports. Our editorial team are working to include this analysis for all extensively launched drugs
Companies
- You can now link to and navigate company related news and press releases from the new bibliography section within the Company report
- Identify potential business partners with the new Licensing and Business Guided Search called Deal Finder. This gives you a graphical and tabular summary of organizations owning intellectual property or lead candidates in a selected therapy area or mode of action
Chemistry
- We've added a new Synthetic Methods portlet to the Chemistry Speciality Home Page. This portlet will contain weekly updated information based on new chemical reactions reported in key literature
Intellectual Property
- Track an innovation going forward and back in time with links to cited and citing references within the Intellectual Property report
- Use the add linked functionality to explode your Intellectual Property results summary to include cited and citing references. Allowing you to track an innovation forward and back in time. This functionality is found in the Intellectual Property Report—on the navigation bar listed in the "Related Information" section and under "Technology citations" where you can find Newer, Same Time, and Older Technologies
Literature & News
- For those journals you have a subscription to you can now link to the full text from the bibliographic record in Thomson Pharma
- You can easily link to the latest company and drug news related to the News report you're viewing via the new Related Company News and Related Drug News sections
- You can keep up-to-date with your most relevant journals in the new Focused Journals portlet on the Home Page. You can select up to 60 key drug, discovery, and development journals to monitor by clicking on Personalize or Create/Modify Home Page
- Did you know you can keep updated with the latest Literature results by setting up alerts from the search form

Hints & Tips
- We've improved the export function in Thomson Pharma so that you can export in a number of ways including MicroSoft Excel® and MDL® ISIS for Excel
- Compare and merge result sets within the same folder when you save the results summary from your searches
- If you want to alter the criteria of your search you can now click the Back to Search icon which is shown at the top of the results summary page
- You can now choose the landing page you start from when you log into Thomson Pharma, so you can jump straight to a search form, home page, etc
