We understand the effect that a poor translation
or an incorrect technical interpretation could have
on your business, and so quality management is a
cornerstone of our workflow. Quality assurance starts
with the receipt of the request from the client.
We check all the details of the requirement to ensure
no requirement is left unrecorded. A sales specialist
is available should a client need additional guidance
and information about our services. If the source
document has not been supplied, we verify the requested
patent number and obtain a copy of the document from
our extensive sources — we have the world's
largest commercial archive of patent documents.
A key quality control procedure is having our in-house
expert linguists check each translation word for
word for technical accuracy, use of appropriate terminology,
avoidance of awkward syntax, correct numbering and
graphics placement etc. Suggested amendments are
reviewed by the original translator, who implements
the required and agreed changes. The document is
then passed to a formatting stage which may include
formatting for filing purposes using templates supplied
and supported by the various patent issuing authorities.
Finally the document is checked by another person
to ensure what was requested is what we will deliver.
